Know APA
Amateur Photographers’ Association, APA, is based at Kolhapur, (Maharashtra, India.) It is association of people from various professions who are seriously interested in photography as a hobby. There are about twenty members in APA. Many of them are doctors, professors, traders etc. APA is established in 1981. There is no President and Secretary in APA. All are just members. Anybody having interest in photography can join APA. There are no any rigid rules about membership.


Activities of APA 
APA is formed for enjoyment of photography. Going on a trip for photography is continuous activity in APA. Members have traveled a lot in all parts of the country and world. A meeting is arranged once or twice a month in which members show photographs to each other and have discussions. Many members have taken keen interest in quality of photos and in the issue –what makes good photograph? Due to such discussions many have produced very good photos and own national and international level awards. Many members have taken interest in Digital Photography. They are using Digital cameras. Also they are using computer techniques in digital photography. APA has been arranging Annual Exhibition of Photography since 1981. All the members exhibit their good photos of that year. These exhibitions are open to all free of charge.
